One of Sheffield's leading Universities is looking to recruit a Marketing Research Officer to join their highly successful team. The salary is negotiable, depending upon experience. Working 35 hours per week (flexitime). Please note that this position is fixed-term, expected to last until March 2010
You will be responsible to the Marketing Research Manager and your role will be to monitor student opinion by managing an annual programme of research to achieve pre-determined objectives / outcomes.
Some of your duties are outlined below;
1. To manage the Union's fixed programme of research, including measuring quality of service through customer satisfaction research, collecting competitor information and monitoring the Union's customer suggestions and complaints scheme.
2. Carry out research briefings, deliver results and consult with Union Managers / Officers on findings, following up any actions agreed.
3. Make recommendations from research regarding the development of the Union's current and future services.
4. Source relevant information about the Union's environment and markets, including youth trends - developing ideas and suggestions for the future.
5. Develop effective ways to promote research and inform stakeholders of key findings.
6. Manage and motivate casual staff with the aim of maintaining high standards of interviewing and data inputting, to maximise accuracy and efficiency.
