The Sunshine Day Nursery at the Northern General Hospital and Royal Hallamshire Hospital are open from 6.30am to 7pm Monday to Friday and staff will work a shift system within these hours.
We require individuals to work as Bank Childcare Assistants to provide quality childcare for children attending the Day Nursery and Holiday Club. The successful applicant’s will promote a safe and caring environment to enable each child to grow and develop within its own potential
Successful applicant’s must possess an NVQ 2 or working towards the qualification and have excellent communication skills and experience of working within a day care setting. Applicants must also have the ability to keep updated in childcare issues and must posses good organisational skills.
The job role involves assisting in the organisation and preparation of resources in the nursery, assist in the preparation of children’s work for display, setting up activities and role play situations for the children and maintaining good relationships with parents.
Due to the nature of this role, successful candidates will be required to complete a CRB disclosure application (police check).
