An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Stock and Administration Manager on behalf of our Leeds based Client who are European leaders in the design and delivery of advanced supply chain solutions.
It is essential you have experience within a similar role within the demanding supply chain and logistics sector. Proven experience within Stock/Administration and Management and experience of working with large volumes of sensitive stock (Food) within a multi temperature environment is essential as this role will be dealing with large volumes going in and out of the warehouse daily.
The purpose of this role is to develop, control and manage the stock and system department and associated stock management functions within the depot. Working closely with all departments, suppliers and customers, ensuring that all relevant information that is generated, logged and acted upon to ensure the effective and efficient operation within the depot. To ensure that all movement of stock is documented in line with agreed procedures and to monitor, control and reconcile the depot shrinkage reports ensuring that total shrinkage is within the target agreed with the customer.
General duties:-
- Ensure stock availability and service levels are constantly exceed agreed KPIs.
- Have extensive knowledge and understanding of stock ordering systems to ensure stock movement in and out of the operation is documented in a speedy and accurate manner.
- Reconciles shrinkage reports and records all items of loss / gain throughout the operation, and prepare relevant reports of total shrinkage to the Operations Development Manager.
- To maintain all IT and stock systems ensuring that all staff are trained correctly in the use of the stock control system.
- To achieve and improve on customer satisfaction targets by effective management of the function and ensures that quality aspects of the depot operate to the highest possible standards to the customer.
- Recognise and act on opportunities for efficiency and cost improvements within the department.
- Communicate any system errors to colleagues in line with system escalation procedure. Ensuring minimum disruption to the operation resolving such issues efficiently and effectively.
- Keep accurate records of system issues and attend management meeting where necessary to pass on information when required.
- Undertake accurate record employee return to work interviews within the system environment.
- Investigate and resolve system IT issues at site.
Management of staff:-
- Maintain and further develop a high level of teamwork and morale within the department.
- Ensure performance reviews are conducted in line with site procedures and issues / development identified and acted upon.
- Lead by example resolve any issues on a day to day basis to avoid formal grievances.
- Expresses sensitivity to other viewpoints and is able to work effectively as a member of both a small or large team.
- Train and encourage team to be multi skilled therefore increasing efficiency of the department.
- Ensure personal and team compliance with all policies and procedures.
- Ensure any disciplinary action is carried out following company procedure and documented accordingly. In addition maintain confidentiality.
- Ensure sickness and absence is proactively highlighted to individuals and ensure return to work interviews are completed in a timely manner.
- Monitor sickness and absence.
- Understand and embrace the culture of the site and actively participates in developing an open / honest environment.
- Assist in the recruitment of the financial team ensuring budgeted headcount is maintained.
As this role will be dealing with manging of the entire stock and administration for a large warehouse, experience in a similar role is essential as you will be dealing with fast moving goods.
