A small niche market delicatessen based in Sheffield requires an outgoing, helpful and customer service focused shop manager.
Working in a small team, you will be advising on products and serving customers.
You will be responsible for the cleaning and set out of the shop as well as arranging stock and checking stock levels, undertaking opening and closing checks, handling money on a daily basis and cashing up. You will train and supervise other employees as they join the business. You will also have the opportunity to attend food shows throughout the year to showcase the product range.
The successful candidate will have a flexible approach to working and be interested in foods. You will be a quick learning, self motivated individual who can show lots of initiative. It is not necessary to have worked in a deli environment before as full training on the product range and hygiene standards will be provided.
The hours of work will be 08:45 to 17:30 with ¾ hour for lunch. Salary starts at £6.50 per hour. There will be some Saturday work needed, typically one per month. A driving license is preferred but not essential.
