Assistant Financial Controller required for business in Derbyshire.
Duties will include supporting the Financial Controller and managing a team of 3 members of staff on the general ledger. Carrying out Treasury functions, including payment runs, manual cheque payments, bank reconciliations and journal allocated cash receipts. You will be required to ensure cash flow is closely managed and reported on a daily basis. Strong dialogue must exist between the receipt and payments team to ensure that there are sufficient funds to pay suppliers. Where beneficial ensure prompt payment discounts are maximised, all VAT returns and assisting in the Production the monthly financial reporting pack.
Candidates must have previous accounting experience and be a part qualified Account as a (minimum CIMA/ACCA) and have the capability to manage a team.
