Working for a leading UK wide based Construction,Installation, Facilities and Asset Management based Company
The Renumeration
c £50,000 basic + KPI based Bonus + Car or Car Allowance + Pension and Health Scheme.
The Role
To provide the Leadership, Development, Management and visibility to the Dept. that provides asset maintenance and upgrade services across the Water, Waste water, Gas, Electricity, Civil Engineering and Multi Utility industries.
Operating term and project based contracts for the majority of the UKs major utilities organisations. It has a portfolio of blue chip clients nationwide and overseas with a turnover of circa £650 million per annum. The Company continues to develop and recruit high calibre individuals to support its active management team and highly skilled workforce. As a suitably qualified individual you will manage all internal plant and assets, up to 30,000 different and specialised items. Having key accountabilities, which will include multi-site managements of assets and facilities including Workshop operations, Field Service Engineers who are responsible for the Recalibration and PAT testing compliance of plant assets, and ensuring maximum utilisation.
Key Duties
To take ownership of all internal plant for the company
Negotiate supply contracts in conjunction with the Procurement team
To ensure stock levels are at a satisfactory level
To prepare a weekly costings report
Administer plant IT systems
Day to day management of a small team working remotely and on site
Re calibration and conformance including PAT testing compliance
To assist with the daily plant hire process
To further develop within this role and assume further responsibility within the Supply Chain Management (SCM)department
Ensuring that Fleet utilisation is maximised
Manage Capital Asset Spend
Ensure internal Delivery vehicles are fully utilised
Management
Working closely with other Senior managers within the business on an Operational, Financial and Regional basis, you will be expected to make regular management reports to the board regarding Asset utilisation, Bid Management, Client Projects etc.
As such you will be able to demonstrate your ability to operate in an open and even handed manner with all personnel across the business. Treat others with courtesy, and respect and proactively contribute to teamwork and cross-functional working.
Experience
Previous experience of managing plant and multi-site assets is essential along with good IT Skills, in particular with Microsoft packages such as Excel, Word and Access.
Previous experience at management level and within the plant or tool hire industry would be a distinct advantage to your success in this demanding role
