- Full Description:
The primary function of the role is to provide competent advice, specification of products, survey of site and quotation, in order to achieve profitable sales. Technical and building construction knowledge is essential to ensure that the client can meet customer needs effectively and adhere to the relevant standards and regulatory requirements particularly involved when installing complex solutions such as lifts, hoists etc.
Duties:
• Handling of client enquiries relating to access products such as vertical lifts, stairlifts, ceiling track hoists, floor mounted hoists, ramps, etc through to completion of installation / sale.
• Develop a comprehensive knowledge of the various products available and their uses and, most importantly, the technical knowledge required to provide effective product advice.
• Organisation of personal diary / workload relating to sales calls, demonstration, site surveys / visits and production of quotations and drawings as appropriate.
• Promotion an maintenance of ongoing effective working relationships between all company departments in order to ensure the delivery of good customer service.
• The project management element of the role brings responsibility for ensuring that the building team is directed appropriately during the individual access solution task and that any issues which arise during an installation are addressed.
• Processing the appropriate documentation relating to the role, including competing department daily / weekly call sheets / sales reports.
• Responding to / achieving sales targets, commission schemes.
Person specification:
Knowledge of construction / installation gained from a variety of sources including:
• Within the building trade ie. bricklayer, plaster, plumber, electrician
• As a Quantity Surveyor
• In ‘site’ management or similar roles
• On significant DIY projects eg. Extension building, home self-build
• In a technical sales environment
Full UK driving license essential
Salary: £19-21K plus commission (OTE in region of £23-25K)
Hours: 39 hours per week – Monday - Friday
