Our client is a well established company based in Sheffield. They are a unique centre of excellence dedicated to the research, development and problem solving for the highly specialised engineering industry.
Currently they are seeking to employ a Technical Consultant, whose main responsibility will be to supply materials and engineering advice to manufacturers and users worldwide. Primary tasks will be Failure Investigations and funded Research Projects. The successful candidate will be expected to organise individual investigations to provide practical solutions and produce the final written technical reports that are supplied to their customers. As experience is gained the successful applicant will be also expected to deliver training courses.
The applicants should have an honours degree or higher in metallurgy/ materials science and will be required to show expertise in understanding and solving problems.
Consideration would be given to HNC qualified metallurgists with extensive experience.
The successful candidate will be offered a salary up to £28,000 negotiable on experience, flexible working hours. 25 days holidays plus stats, generous pension scheme and medical benefits
