A Client Account Associate (“CAA”) works as a team member on client assignments and projects in Assurance and Business Advisory Services (“ABAS”) delivering professional project, administrative, finance and research work. The CAA acts as a key communication point between members of staff and partners on the team and, on occasions, with the client directly. The CAA works at both the office and on occasions, at the client’s premises. CAAs are given the experience, coaching and training to develop their skills further and progress towards the Client Account Executive role.
The Role consists of the following:
Project/ administration:
• Organises schedule of team and client meetings and conference call
• Manages own and client documents effectively using paper and electronic filing
• Is proficient in the use of Lotus Notes and relevant databases
• Assists in monitoring assignment project plan, and suggests solutions to issues encountered
• Performs under supervision the administrative side of certain audit procedures (such as confirmations, stock counts, inter-office instructions and reports)
• Maintains professional working relationships with other team members, support staff, client staff, and wider network
• Assists in preparation of materials for negotiations/proposals/presentations
Finance:
• Undertakes all basic finance procedures relating to assignment time and expenses costs and billings, including:
• Prepares drafts of bills and billing correspondence through to final billing
• Proactively monitors and addresses with clients any issues relate to billings and cash collections
• Prepares regular analyses of work in progress time and expenses costs, compares to budget and investigates variances with the assignment team
• Produces analyses and reports on other key assignment financial variables as required
• Is proficient in using in-house finance systems and Excel
Research:
• Updates team and self on relevant business and industry news and issues
• Collates and analyses information from a wide range of media for distribution to team or presentation
• Is proficient in using in-house intranet, internet, other external media, and PowerPoint
The Successful Candidate:
• Must be educated at A-Level standard – with certificates to prove
• Must hold an O-Level or equivalent in Mathematics & English
• Driving license would be advantageous, but not essential
• Good at project management with good admin skills
• Be able to juggle a lot of tasks at once with confidence
