The Analyst will work within the Central Compliance Team team, dealing with conflict checking, client file opening and anti-money laundering enquiries; from the initial analysis of requests, through to data searching/interrogation and liaison with fee earners, partners.
The teams responsibilities cover two main areas of the firms work:
Conflict Checking
In-depth investigative work is undertaken as part of the new and existing matter process. The team search across external/internal information systems to interrogate specific data, assess the output and form part of the consultation process in liaising with fee earners and line management.
File opening
Reviewing and processing file opening documentation for the purposes of client file opening, in accordance with the firms compliance and anti-money laundering guidelines.
Partner and fee earner issue resolution; including providing assistance with the completion of documentation and when necessary, guidance and training on the Firms requirements together with associated anti-money laundering/compliance checks.
Skills & Competencies required The successful candidate will have:
A Law degree or LPC (or training towards this qualification)
Experience of working in a legal environment e.g. a paralegal type role
Experience in dealing with conflicts work would be an advantage
Capable of working using own initiative, with excellent communication and organisational skills. The ability to communicate with colleagues at all levels
Knowledge of compliance/anti-money laundering requirements would be an advantage
Adaptable and flexible with good team working skills
The ability to respond positively to urgent deadlines
