Position: RADIOGRAPHER
Location: LEEDS
Salary: £35000 - £45000 + package

Ideal candidate would be an ASNT / PCN Level 3 qualified person with
radiography as a specific discipline.
NDT MANAGER, SENIOR NDT INSPECTOR, RADIOGRAPHER or RADIOGRAPHY SPECIALIST.
Five years hands on radiography experience in manufacturing industry and
subsequent experience of interpretation of standards and customer
requirements and preparation of radiographic technique sheets.
Knowledge of potential defect types in forged and welded materials is
essential.
The level 3 qualification in radiography would probably satisfy the
above requirements by default.
The level 3 may be difficult to find so a fall back position would be
ASNT / PCN level 2 with say 10 years experience in radiography.
Detailed knowledge of Gamma and X-ray techniques is essential along with
clear understanding of the HSE implications for radiography. Ideally
someone who has been a Radiation Protection Advisor or Radiation
Protection Supervisor I.E. formally qualified in radiation safety.
However we can train an RPS relatively easily if this becomes a sticking
point as long as the candidate has an existing knowledge of the HSE
issues and a strong commitment to HSE principles.
In addition to the above we need someone with supervisory experience
and the ability to schedule and prioritise work in a busy and fast
changing environment.
A knowledge of the newly emerging digital radiography techniques would
also be a distinct advantage.
