Inspire Resourcing have an exciting opportunity for a demonstrable Design Engineer
Job Title: DESIGN ENGINEER
Job Synopsis:
An engineering graduate/professional with proven experience of 2D and 3D mechanical design origination and performing supporting calculations.
Qualifications:
- €¢Minimum HND / HNC in a mechanical engineering related qualification;
Relevant Experience:
€¢Design of heavy fabrications, machined and cast components, structural steelwork, mechanical handling equipment, conveyors, rotary screens or vibrating conveying equipment.
€¢Knowledge and experience of ‘heavy’ engineering (steel/metals industries, recycling, materials handling) is desirable.
€¢Design and origination of new assemblies from scratch including supporting calculations.
€¢Experience of Finite Element Analysis is desirable but not essential.
€¢Experience of hydraulic design would be beneficial but not essential.
Skills/Proficiencies:
€¢General computer literacy and confidence should be a prerequisite.
€¢Applicants should be proficient with the latest versions of AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
€¢Thorough knowledge of MS Office Software (in particular, Excel, Word & Outlook)
€¢Experience of using Autodesk Vault would be beneficial but not essential.
Starting Salary:
£27,000 - £32,000
