Job Description
MASTER PRODUCTION SCHEDULER
AVK are a Danish owned group of companies who are market leaders in the supply of valves, fittings and control equipment to gas and water utilities throughout the world. The Group is generating year on year growth in sales and profit, with current turnover running at £300 million per annum. In the UK, AVK have six operating businesses employing 230 people.
A vacancy had arisen for a Master Production Scheduler, reporting to the Managing Director.
The main purpose of the role will be to develop and implement best practice supply chain and logistics throughout AVK UK manufacturing, to ensure that high customer service targets are consistently achieved. A very hands-on position co-ordinating sales forecast requirements into the manufacturing companies, running and interpreting the MRP, ensuring component supply meets customer demand, enhancing service levels and optimising stock levels.
The successful applicant will be qualified to degree level, be a hands-on supply chain management professional who is well used to the demands of a fast moving, price and quality conscious industry. Ideally having experience of global suppliers and logistics. The need to travel and work at our other manufacturing facilities is also a requirement.
