Job Description
AVK are a Danish owned group of companies who are market leaders in the supply of valves, fittings and control equipment to gas and water utilities throughout the world. The Group is generating year on year growth in sales and profit, with current turnover running at £300 million per annum. In the UK, AVK have six operating businesses employing 230 people.
A vacancy has arisen for a Financial Controller, reporting to the Managing Director. This position is based at our ultra modern facility in Staveley Chesterfield.
The main purpose of the role will be to produce accurate financial statements, manage accounting entries for cost of sales, variances, inventory movement and inventory provisions. Producing monthly management reports including material and labour variances comparing actual against budget/forecast.
The day to day control of the finance function to ensure the accurate and timely provision of all financial information as required by law and by local/group management. To perform all the duties required of a Company Secretary.
The successful applicant will hold a recognized accounts based qualification along with experience of manufacturing costing and computerised accounting systems.
