Job Description
Role description;
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate will lead the purchasing department in this new role to the company structure.
An outline of the role responsibilities include:
€¢ Developing the current supply base and maintaining contact with current Suppliers
€¢ Liaising on a daily basis with production, sales and the despatch departments
€¢ Involvement in establishing new suppliers and alternative sources of raw material supply
€¢ Raising purchase orders against agreed stock levels & expediting stock from suppliers
Developing the purchasing department thought cost savings and supplier rationalisation, ensuring the business achieves it\'s potential through the total supply chain process.
Who we\'re looking for;
Ideally holding a qualification in either purchasing or business, you will be a self starter possessing a can-do attitude. With a proven track record within purchasing, you will have experience of negotiating engineering parts from both the UK and abroad.
