Job Description

PROPERTY MAINTENANCE MANAGER LOCATION: Leeds SALARY: £18,000 + bonus HOURS OF WORK: Monday to Friday (Office Hours) & 1 Sunday in 7 (10.30am – 4pm) ESSENTIAL: Driver with own transport and clean driving license

ROLE INFORMATION: My client is a well established, successful estate agency in the Leeds area. An experienced, motivated Property Maintenance Manager is required to join the well respected and successful estate agency to manage a portfolio of residential properties ranging from studio apartments to detached properties.

RESPONSIBILITIES: Reporting to the rentals property manager on a frequent basis. Coordinating with letting negotiators and internal team regarding work schedules. Carrying out property inspections on a periodic and ad hoc basis. Liaising with tenants / contractors / landlords ensuring repairs are undertaken proactively and within a specified time. Ensuring all properties are kept to the highest standards of cleanliness & readiness with an emphasis on preventative measures to keep maintenance to a minimum. Obtaining repair quotes/ estimates from contractors where required. Updating with landlords/tenants on all relevant matters. Follow up interim property inspection reports issuing letters to landlords and tenants as appropriate and dealing promptly with any repairs or breaches of tenancy.

YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: Significant experience in a property maintenance role Excellent organisational skills Good understanding of property construction & maintenance issues Good MS Office skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Confident, hard working and able to build strong relationships both internally & externally. Highly motivated and able to use own initiative. Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
