A client is seeking a Human Resource Consultant to enhance the legal support provided in-house by their solicitors and to implement a strategy to increase turnover within the Employment Law Department over the medium to long term by the provision of HR Consultancy Services to complement and enhance the employment law services currently being provided.
The successful candidate needs to have a generalist background grounded in a variety of industries of differing size. The exposure to differing work cultures and commercial backgrounds is paramount in order to offer the flexibility of service. Ideally, a highly experienced HR specialist, with a background in high level management and consultancy across a broad spectrum of clients possibly in both the private and public sectors although private sector experience is essential.
The ‘in house’ consultant also requires;
• the ability to work within teams
• effective communication skills at all levels
• a professional approach
• the ability to sell the HR service and cross sell products
• be committed to working and not want to use the opportunity to build their own consultancy business in the future.
• credible work experience and qualifications.
The strategy assumes the appointment of a senior level operator with possibly up to previous HR Director status or just below that level to work within our team initially on a basic salary but with scope for developing an incentive based package as the workload develops.
