Job Description
Our client is specialises in forging semi machine rings and bars for the aerospace and energy markets, they require an experienced apprentice trained machinist to fit into an established team based in the machine shop. You must be able to competently set and operate a variety of manually controlled lathes and interpret drawings and work accurately to quality standards. Due to the nature of the business we require a machinist who has work with Webster and Bennett manual vertical borers with experience over a range of 36 to 90 inch.
The hours of work are 37 basic hours on a 3 way rotating shift, mornings, afternoons and nights. The rate of pay is £11.87 basic after training with a premium paid for the night shift.
