Job Description
There is currently a vacancy for a Production Planner. Applicants are sought to work within a small team in our Planning Department.
The position would suit an applicant with a methodical approach to planning & organisation and who has a keen eye for detail. Candidates should be capable of working both in a team and without excessive supervision and should have excellent communication skills. The ability to use initiative is essential.
It is likely that individuals will be educated to A-Level level standard or equivalent, be computer literate and have previous planning experience to be successful in their application. Mapics Business system experience preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
The role is primarily to:-
- To Plan all Incoming orders, acknowledging production deliveries to sales to ensure customer delivery requirements are met.
- Prepare production schedules for each manufacturing department according to established manufacturing sequences and lead times.
- To ensure each operation meets shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders.
- To progress customer orders through plans - to report any existing or forthcoming problems to Production Control/Sales.
- To maintain and keep Production Data up to date at all times.
Salary circa £19k depending on experience.
