Job Description

Our client, an international engineering company based near Sheffield, is now looking to recruit a Technical Proposals Engineer to join their growing team!

Objective of Role:-

To maintain and develop customer activities to improve sales via:-

• Improved departmental procedure development..
• Maintain & maximise sales margins at all times.
• Prioritise quote selection & content.
• Reduce quote in and out turnaround times.
• Develop pro-active commercial relationships to new and existing clients.

Responsibilities:-

• Ensure Correct Drawings are available into Planning/Manufacturing packs.
• Under take customer contact by telephone/E:Mail for quotes and follow up regimes
• Compilation and submittal of Technical Quotations for products.
• Promotion and sales of all aftermarket products.
• Liaising with relevant Sales Managers, Service Engineers & Administration personnel to ensure accurate supply of customer information and technical content/detail.
• Initiate Drawing/Design requirements with Departmental Technical Support Engineer.
• Obtain when required 3^rd party costs quotations.

Key Areas:

• Aftermarket Office activities.
• Pricing tools and margin retention/improvement.

Aftermarket Sales internal standards & procedures.
