PROJECT / SERVICE ENGINEER

LOCATION: BRADFORD

SALARY £35k-£38k basic + pension, bonus, car

COMPANY INFORMATION:

Our client is a truly global organisation who supply specialist automotive products to all ranges of vehicles and automotive systems. Employing globally over 45'000 in over 30 countries.

Projects/Service Engineer

BROAD OUTLINE
A self motivated team player who has experience in working on complex manufacturing machinery within the automotive industry with the ability to work overseas at short notice in a self sufficient manner.

MAIN DUTIES
Servicing/repairing and updating COTS machinery throughout FM Global production facilities on a pro-active and reactive basis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Respond to requests from Global production facilities for advice and /or assistance in servicing, repairing specialist machinery
Design and build board/component replacement kit
Present training programmes to production site employees
Provide a customer focused approach relating to the commercial realities of decision making

QUALIFICATIONS
Degree/HND - Electrical Systems Engineering (or similar)
Full Clean driving licence
PC literate

EXPERIENCE
Will have an automotive manufacturing/machine tool background
Will have CNC experience (preferably Fanuc)
Will have PLC experience (preferably Siemens S7)
Must have the ability to work down to board/component level and have used own board repair/design/build
Must have experience in writing/presenting training programmes ( ie Powerpoint)
Must be able to travel extensively, at short notice
