An excellent opportunity has arisen for a NVQ Childcare/Elderly Care Assessor to join a leading training organisation in Sheffield.

Job purpose
Delivery of training and assessment, advice and support to learners undertaking Apprenticeships, Advanced Apprenticeships and National Vocational Qualifications.

Key responsibilities

• Managing a case load of 35-40 funded learners at any one time
• Checking learner eligibility for training Provision
• Agree Learner training requirements with the learner and employer, using the learning delivery plans
• Ensuring that flexible delivery of learning programmes takes place through varied visit timing and assessment methods.
• Maintaining and improving on 50% learner Apprenticeship achievement rates
• Ensuring that all portfolio, NVQ, Key Skills and Technical Certificate evidence meets the Awarding Body requirements on sufficiency and validity prior to internal verification

The successful candidate will have the following skills and experience:-

• Minimum three years industry experience
• Achieved minimum Grade C GCSE (or equivalent) in Mathematics and English or Key Skills at Level 3 or Achieve Level 2 or 3 BKSB testing results
• A valid A1/A2 or equivalent (i.e. D32,D33,D34) qualification is essential for this role
• Full UK Driving Licence, own vehicle and Business Insurance,
• IT literate.
