Proposals Engineer - Materials Handling/ Pneumatic
Industrial
A leading engineering company are looking for a Proposals Engineer to prepare proposals in line with customer requirements, in terms of level of risk, technical and commercial objectives. This position is ideally suited to a qualified engineer (ideally mechanical), preferable in bulk materials handling, pneumatics, conveying, iron and steel gypsum, and non ferrous markets etc, or related background, alongside a good understanding of terms and conditions within the industry. - Liase with suppliers of proprietary equipment - Liase with site installation contractors - Maintain records of all work done in the appropriate company systems. - Develop and maintain good, working relationships with the client at all times to establish his/her needs. - Attend site visits - Assist in sales visits to customer and present when required. - Be an active part of the sales team, undertaking status and chase up calls to customers etc. - As well as the above key objectives, you will be expected to carry out other duties, which can reasonably be assessed to be part of your role. CORE SKILLS - Well established engineering background, preferably in bulk materials handling - Good understanding of current TandC's used within the industry - Good communication skills at all levels in house at director level and customer meetings at director level. - Good written and verbal communication skills - Good understanding of the companies technology base - Capable of utilising IT systems such as word, excel, access Auto-cad etc The salary for the role is £23k-£30k+ with benefits that include Company-wide incentive scheme capable of paying up to 22.5% of basic salary; 25 days of annual + 8 stat holidays per year; contributory pension scheme which includes free life assurance for members; new office working environment.
