| Our client in the Chesterfield area have a vacancy for a Flow Control Draughtsperson. PURPOSE OF JOB: To provide a complete and professional Draughting service to the Technical Sales teams, under the direction of an Engineer. STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE This list is not exhaustive and the post holder will be expected to undertake duties as specified by their manager. Key Activities: Standards of Performance 1. Draughting a) Create sales, production and component drawing to meet the requirements for RFQ’s and test requests under the direction of an engineer. Generate paperwork to document internal RFQ’s for component parts. b) Prepare CAD sketches, plans and drawings, including isometric projections and sectional views as required. c) Create or revise prints to meet the requirements of ECR’s & generate paperwork to document ECR’s. d) Create test drawings for the production of small quantity trials e) Assist tooling engineer in creating assembly and detail drawings of refractory tooling f) Technical illustrations for sales purposes The requirements of the relevant RFQ are met. All work is carried out in line with engineering standards and specifications. Drawings are checked for accuracy and corrected before passing back to Engineer for approval. 2. Team Work a) Provide additional support to costing/pricing function When required, work in positive, helpful and professional manner 3. Administration a) Lotus Notes database b) ECR Documentation Ensure the relevant information is held in the database, so that it is available to be checked and released by Engineer. Paperwork is generated to document ECRs 4. Miscellaneous a) Adhere to Health & Safety Regulations at all times Observe all Health & Safety Regulations including fire, security and local notifications. Report all accidents and incidents in line with company policies CONTACTS: Engineer, Technical Sales Team, Manufacturing sites REQUIREMENTS ON Experienced in the use of the latest version of JOB: AutoCAD. Motivated, self-starter, able to bring projects to a conclusion. Good analytical skills, able to analyse problems and generate creative solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Able to handle multiple projects and changing priorities. Knowledge of computer programs (Windows, Word, Access, Excel) QUALIFICATIONS: Good standard of Secondary education. A minimum of City and Guilds Qualification in AutoCAD. The knowledge of 3D Modeling would be beneficial. |
