| ENVIRONMENTAL OFFICER LOCATION:West Yorkshire SALARY AND BENEFITS: £22-25K 25 days annual holiday + 8 Bank Holidays. Contributory pension scheme COMPANY INFORMATION: My client is a world leader in the manufacture of circlips, retaining and snap rings, they have been established since the 1930s and are renowned for their innovation and Quality of products. The company is now looking to appoint an environmental officer to be responsible for the implementation and maintenance of an EN14001 certified Environmental Management System. YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING: - Proven track record in the implementation and maintenance of an EN14001 system within a similar manufacturing organisation. - A sound Understanding o EN14001 and its requirements IDEALLY YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING: - Formal environmental qualifications - Process Auditing - Risk/Impact Assessment - Problem solving techniques - REACH management - Experience of continuous improvement - Experience of other management systems (e.g. Quality or Health and Safety) ROLE INFORMATION: - Assessment of the companys Environmental Aspects - Reduction of waste and pollutants, including energy and materials - Increase the use of recyclable and renewable resources - Foster environmental awareness and understanding throughout the company - Ensure compliance with all legal and statutory requirements - Liaise with relevant parties including the Environment Agency, Local Authority, external assessors and all external stakeholders in the business.
