Our client is a UK leader in the design, manufacture and supply of temperature, flow and pressure measurement or monitoring instrumentation. They are looking for an enthusiastic and flexible Mechanical Engineer to develop and support new and existing products & processes.
The role involves designing and developing new measurement products, plus supporting existing products and processes. The successful candidate will interface with customers, suppliers and all internal functions, including sales, purchasing, operations and quality assurance.
Essential skills include the following:
* HND / Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
* Design and Manufacturing experience
* Concurrent Engineering
* Problem Solving
* 2D CAD (AutoCAD preferred)
* Financially aware
* Team Worker
* Full Driving Licence
Knowledge or experience of the following would be desirable:
* Development of instrumentation or electro-mechanical products
" Manufacturing in a small batch, manual assembly and test environment
* Flow measurement devices
* Temperature measurement devices
* Fluid Mechanics
* Electronics
