Pressure Part / Vessels Engineer, Central Branch (South Normanton/Selby)
Pressure Parts Mechanical Design Engineer to support the pressure part design team within the Doosan Babcock, Central Branch.
Qualifications:
B. E. Mechanical Engineering or above.
Experience:
Previous working experience within a boiler pressure part design team.
Key Duties:
1. To generate data sheets for boiler pressure part scantlings
2. To generate data sheets for boiler pressure part attachment design
3. To generate data sheets for boiler pressure part site welding consumables
4. To write technical specifications for materials and manufacture for the above, and, if required, outsourced pressure part design.
5. To verify boiler pressure part drawings
6. To verify boiler pressure part and attachment material requisitions
7. To verify boiler pressure part technical quality schedules
8. To assess and sentence the pressure part mechanical design aspects of non-conformances to engineering deliverables. These could be reported from the quality surveillance of material supply, manufacturing, shipping, erection and commissioning
9. To assess the competency of outsourced design houses.
