MECHANICAL PROJECT DESIGN ENGINEER
Sheffield/ Doncaster
£25 - 28,000k p.a. (depending on skills and experience)
Hours: General days (37.5hrs) to meet with business requirements
COMPANY INFORMATION:
A stable multi national company with several sites in the U.K and Internationally, including North & South America, Europe, Far East and Asia. As a company they operate in the Nuclear Power Industry i.e. power stations etc and they have been established a number of years.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
A recognised qualification (HND/ HNC) within a relevant discipline i.e. Mechanical Engineering, Design etc.
Strong mechanical skills.
Knowledge of structural engineering (NOT A STRUCTURAL ENGINEER POST)
Strong AutoCAD (LT) design skills (predominantly 2D).
At least 2/ 3 years industry experience.
IDEALLY YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
Previous experience within an engineering company specialising in the power industry.
Previous experience of designing pressure vessels.
Good mathematical ability (calculations).
Ability to interpret Structural Engineers calculations when brief passed from Structural Engineers to the design team.
ROLE INFORMATION:
This is not a new position within the company as the person currently working within this role is moving to another part of the business. Working within a relatively small design department you will be involved in the day-to-day activities of the design office; mechanical 2D design work to meet with the clients requirements. Project management and client liaison play a large part of this position and there may also be the possibility of International travel from time to time
Within this role there is plenty of room to grow and progress the right individual. On going career prospects are excellent.
