Full Description:
PURPOSE OF JOB: To co-ordinate the Assessment team to maximise contract performance through meeting and exceeding the needs of the learner, employer, awarding bodies and contract holders, by delivering a quality provision which is responsive.
Key responsibilities

2.To co-ordinate the activities of the assessment team to ensure that contractual standards of performance are met and exceeded, through the implementation and reviewing of SMART targets
3.Conduct rigorous monthly Performance Monitoring Reviews (PMR) with each assessor and review performance
4.Support and maintain the quality assurance process for assessment, training and verification processes (both internal and external), in line with Awarding Body procedures
5.Act as a point of contact for all involved parties within the assessment process
6.Co-ordinate the assessment team within the requirements of Ofsted and other external audits
7.Establish and maintain employer relationships
8.To provide Operations Director with performance statistics and other relevant information.
9.To hold regular team meetings to discuss team performance, share good practice and develop an action plan for improvement where necessary
10.Recruitment and selection within the assessment team
11.To appraise and develop staff as required, ensuring that Occupational Competencies are maintained
12.To ensure the implementation of the Health & Safety, Equal Opportunities policies and Quality systems at all times
13.To undertake any other duties deemed necessary by the Operations Director

Previous experience of managing assessment delivery / contracted provision

Communication skills: all aspects, including listening, giving constructive feedback and
building rapport with all stakeholders. Effective communication on a one to one basis, small group or large group. Prepared to challenge and use initiative to find answers
Organisational skills: ability to manage own workload and that of rest of team, ensuring
objectives are met in a timely manner, able to utilise and analyse data to maximise performance, able to work well under pressure
Team leading skills: to be able to motivate and encourage the team through remote management, delegation and negotiation, target focused and results driven
Problem Solving: take ownership and implements appropriate actions where necessary
