Senior Process Engineer - Barnsley
My client is a major provider of design-and-build contracting services. The company is expanding these services into the waste management sector. They have recently completed a municipal waste energy-from-waste plant, two sewage sludge incineration projects and the UK’s first dry anaerobic digestion facility for source separated bio waste. They are actively pursuing other similar work in these areas, as well as Mechanical Biological Treatment and In-Vessel Composting schemes.
The business now has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Process Engineer to work in the dedicated environmental team. The team is currently involved in working on a variety of complex, sizeable and high profile schemes in the UK. The successful candidate should be enthusiastic about working on environmental projects.
Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
• Working within multi-disciplinary teams
• Working as part of the team on project bids and project delivery
• Focusing on solid waste management projects that involve material recycling, anaerobic digestion, in-vessel composting, mechanical biological treatment and energy from waste.
Profile
The successful candidate will:
• Ideally be a chartered engineer or equivalent
• Have a proven track record in waste management engineering with a process contractor, a consultant or technical role within a waste management operations company
• Enjoy working as part of a team and have the ability to work using their own initiative
• Have the ability to manage a varied workload for multi-sites
• Be able to work to exacting deadlines and standards
