SENIOR MECHANICAL ENGINEER - WASTE HANDLING
My client are looking to recruit a senior mechanical engineer.
Role
Working at senior engineer level, you will be responsible for the output of mechanical design staff on municipal waste treatment plants and will have involvement on the turnkey plants at both initial bid stages for proposals and for detail design stages.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
•experience of direct involvement in the administration of large Subcontracts for design, supply and installation of major items of equipment associated with municipal waste treatment plants. (These will be supplied both from the UK and Europe.)
•experience of working on turnkey plants in a culture where Health and Safety is paramount.
•commercial knowledge and ability to understand risks of different technologies.
•experience of direct involvement with Clients at various seniority levels
•a detailed knowledge of a number of the basic processes involved in municipal
treatment, such as: Mechanical handling; Ventilation; Shredding; Bailing/Compaction; Sorting etc
•an understanding of the interfaces with other disciplines (civil, electrical, E&I)
The candidate should be able to adapt to the changing technology of the waste industry and be flexible in their approach to suit the varying needs of different clients.
The ideal candidate will be educated to BSc level or higher, preferably with chartered status.
