The Corporate Tax Manager will have responsibility for corporation tax compliance services, together with tax consultancy work on behalf of clients and special project assignments as and when required.
Main Accountabilities
•Responsible for ensuring timely and accurate completion and submission of corporate tax and related compliance issues.
•Maintain and develop a portfolio of corporate tax clients, ensuring the delivery of high quality service.
•Review tax computations, tax returns and disclosures for statutory accounts.
•Deal with correspondence from the tax authority.
•Advise clients on corporate tax matters.
•Liaise with Audit Department on tax disclosures and audit of tax provisions.
•Assist with the training and development of trainee staff in the Tax Department.
•Any other duties conducive with the effective operation of the post which are deemed to be within the post-holders competence.
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Essential Criteria
•Relevant accounting and tax qualifications (for example: Chartered Accountant; Chartered Tax Adviser; or equivalent).
•Sufficient previous experience in an accountancy or tax practice to enable the delivery of high quality service to a wide range of clients.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Ability to work on own initiative.
•Able to work as part of a team.
