Our client are a consultancy who work primarily in the transport sector, historically this has been in railway engineering and operation. For example, all of the main train operators in the UK are their clients.
The successful applicant will, immediately be acting in a team of ‘Consultants’ with current clients and will quickly be expected to help win further work with new clients.
Our client will be introducing the successful candidate to a wide range of services that they provide, and give them the opportunity to identify areas of management and consultancy that appeal to them and through which they see the best opportunities for self-development.
Essential Skills:
• Self-motivated, energetic and enthusiastic and able to communicate this to clients and other team members;
• Appreciation of Quality Management principles, tools and techniques;
• Understanding of Process Management principles and methodology.
• Candidates with a very good knowledge of I.T.
In this role, working with other specialists, there will be opportunity to develop and test new tools that support the business objectives and which may open up new markets in themselves by presenting a more efficient way of processing and presenting information to our clients and within our client organisations.
Desirable Attributes or Aptitude:
• Detailed understanding of Quality Management standards (ISO 9001:2000, EFQM etc.) accreditation as lead auditor is desirable
• Degree in Quality Management or equivalent
• Understanding (and practical experience) of Project Management implementation methods (e.g. PRINCE2)
• Experience of undertaking safety systems development - including risk assessment
• Experience of working in a variety of commercial organisations;
• Experience of working closely in a team.
Other Requirements:
• Available to be based in East Midlands (Derby) (although much work requires travelling in the UK and overseas)
• Current Passport (for possible overseas work)
• Clean Driving Licence (as many clients are not accessible via public transport).
Salary negotiable depending on experience. Based in DERBY
