QUALITY ENGINEER
LOCATION: Leeds
SALARY AND BENEFITS: £22K, 25 days holiday, final salary contributory pension.
COMPANY INFORMATION:
This company was established in the 19th Century and is still going strong. Having been bought out about 6 years ago and merged with another local company they are stronger than ever. The company is still evolving from this takeover and has had a fresh investment brought to the business.
YOU MUST HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Experience in a Quality control department within a large manufacturing organisation
- Experience of working to ISO 9001 standards
- Have experience in continuous improvements
- Have strong communication skills
- Be educated to HND level
IDEALLY YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING:
- Experience in working to TS16949 standards including APQP
- Come from an automotive background
- Be experienced in project management including budget control
- Have experience in Auditing
- Be able to travel away from home
ROLE INFORMATION:
Reporting directly into the Quality Manager you will deal with technical customer concerns investigate issues and establish corrective and preventative actions.
You will also be involved in the investigation and reporting of any supplier issues, attend supplier reviews meetings and audit external suppliers.
You will be working closely with other departments to reduce waste and improve efficiency. You will also be involved with new product introduction projects, ensuring new products are delivered with achievable quality parameters.
