Maintenance Fitter – Electrical
Rotherham
£28000 OTE, Shift Allowance & Overtime & Excellent benefits package
Due to rapid expansion my client a major supplier to the automotive industry are looking to add to their team with the appointment of THREE Maintenance Fitters (Electrically biased)
You will provide electrical engineering support to maximise plant efficiency and in turn minimise down time. The roll includes practical hands on fault diagnosis and repair as required
Skills / Attributes required:
· Good level of knowledge of manufacturing plant and equipment, function and defect rectification
· Ability to read and understand engineering and electrical drawings
· Understanding of the required quality standards
· Understanding of continuous improvement methodology
· Health and Safety practices and requirements including PAT testing, Emergency lighting Checks, and Electrical Safety awareness.
· Use of Lathe, Milling machine and hand power tools.
· Welding and soldering
· Understanding of electrical drive systems, PLC units, inverters, electrical installation procedures, control and drive systems and site services equipment such as compressors, water treatment systems and fire protection equipment.
· Licensed to use FLT, Scissor Lift, of other access equipment (desirable)
· Good verbal and written communications skills
· Ability to train and educate operators in the safe and productive use of machines
· Problem solving ability in order to investigate machine problems and instigate corrective actions
· Computer literate
Qualifications:
Apprentice trained to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent including IEE 16th Edition
Welding qualifications an advantage.
