Hours: 16 hours per week (worked over a 3 day period – Wednesday, Thursday and Friday)
A vacancy has arisen within the team providing an effective and efficient secretarial service to the Informatics Director and the Business Development & External Affairs Director within the busy, varied and interesting Service Development Directorate based in the Clock Tower, Northern General Hospital.
The successful applicant must possess effective organisational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with staff at all levels throughout the Trust as well as dealing effectively and efficiently with telephone enquiries.
You will need to have the ability to work on your own initiative in prioritising your work and meeting deadlines whilst maintaining high standards. You will also be required to work flexibly to provide cover for annual leave and sickness in the absence of secretarial colleagues.
The minimum requirements for this post are OCR Stage III Typing / Word Processing or equivalent, educated to GCSE level including English and excellent verbal and written communication skills. You must demonstrate at least 2 years' experience as a personal secretary to a senior manager.
A thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, and Word is essential.
