We are looking for a tutor to help a class of 12 – 15 single parents get back into paid employment so team building skills are an essential quality for this position.
A confident, positive person is needed who can get the best out of people, goals will need to be set by yourself and the people that you are working with however a flexible approach will be required.
Some of the adults that you will be working with could have learning difficulties such as dyslexia so an empathetic approach is essential. The ideal candidate will be able to stimulate and relate to adults whilst maintaining a leading position in the classroom.
Some that you will be dealing with could have alcohol/ substance misuse issues or be ex offenders so you would need an open approach to help them over come these barriers.
Key Result Areas
· Achieves sustainable contractual job outcome targets
· Lesson plans are completed prior to each session
· Conducts one to one interviews with clients prior to, or upon starting on programme.
· Matches clients with vacancies that most closely fit both parties’ requirements to maximise satisfaction on both sides.
· Ensures equal opportunities and health and safety checks are conducted prior to placements.
· Ensures auditable documentation is completed and filed accordingly.
· Ensures that all relevant documentation is completed correctly and in line with contractual deadlines and standards
· Has a sound knowledge and understanding of the contractual requirements e.g. client attendance and discipline; equal opportunities and health and safety procedures are adhered to
· Roles may vary in some detail between offices and flexibility is a prime requirement of staff.
· Carries out any additional duties as reasonably requested by line management
Qualifications
· Numerate and literate
· IT literate
· Certificate in Education (preferred but not essential)
