Based in Sheffield since 1913, Harold Moore Ltd are first and foremost manufacturers of precision moulded plastic products. We are still a family owned firm with a small, close-knit team focused upon providing the highest quality in both product and service. We are innovators, always looking towards the next new project and we are highly successful in this, as we have demonstrated, having produced the first food approved metal detectable polymer and electrostatic dissipative plastic hand tools, to name but two areas in which we excel.

Originally founded to manufacture handles for cutlery, Harold Moore has always sought out the latest of materials and produced products demanded by specific markets, either on our own account or in close collaboration with trusted partners.

The company started by replacing its ivory products with the new polymers that were coming available at the start of the 20th century. We became one of the first injection moulders and avoided making munitions during the world wars by producing components for medical instruments instead. We were therefore able to extend this expertise commercially in peacetime and specialise in engineering-grade work.

Harold Moore still produce cutlery handles as well as many bespoke products for quality conscious customers, however, we are now especially noted for our own range of shovels, scoops, scrapers and other tools that are used throughout the food, cleaning, equestrian, marine, building and other industries worldwide. Ours is the largest range of such products available anywhere and it is a range renowned for durability and usability.

We pay attention to detail. If we say a product is approved for food contact, we mean it. We go all the way in testing the finished product in line with latest EU and FDA standards and obtain full certification before we make any such claims. The same open, honest approach is extended to new materials, specifically metal detectable and electrostatic dissipative products, so you can be assured that the most stringent standards have been adhered to. It goes without saying, then, that we are also an ISO9001:2000 certified organisation.

Our attitude to quality does not stop there. We are also committed to providing the best service we can. Our delivery performance is second to none - our own products are manufactured to stock, here in Sheffield, and are normally delivered within three days within the UK.

Not all plastic products are the same. We are constantly proving that plastic does not have to mean cheap and nasty. HM products are attractive, well made, designed for purpose and a pleasure to handle, often better and more robust than even metal counterparts.
